Her Majesty the Queen recognizes ADF Milking’s international success

Her Majesty the Queen has acknowledged ADF Milking for the distribution of our technology across the world. We are delighted to have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise 2020: International Trade.

Our unique automated post-milking hygiene system with BurstRinse technology has been successfully helping dairy farmers in the UK and internationally to improve the health of their herds. The ADF System is effectively used by farmers in more than 30 countries every single day and Her Majesty the Queen has recognized our growth in trading overseas.

We received this royal accolade in international trade due to the outstanding growth we’ve achieved in overseas earnings and the substantial year-on-year growth we have accomplished internationally over the last 6 years.

This prestigious achievement is a result of the considerable effort from all departments here at ADF Milking and we are very proud of our team who have combined together to achieve international recognition for our innovative products. We now have 27 employees based in our head office in the UK, as well as offices in Germany, New Zealand, Canada and USA.

ADF Milking founder and inventor James Duke is delighted to be given this award by the Queen. “We take great pleasure in helping dairy farmers in the UK and overseas,” says James. “We are pleased to offer a product with a proven ability to increase efficiencies for dairy farmers and the health of their cows. We want to do our bit to keep them in business and protect our essential food supply chain, both locally and internationally.”

Director and CEO Angus Buchanan says it a great pleasure to be honored by Her Majesty the Queen for our technology. “We are proud that our business that started in a small office in the south of England has sold UK-manufactured milking equipment to farms all around the world. We have proven that it is possible to succeed on the international stage against much larger competitors by innovating and challenging the status quo.”

Now in its 54th year, the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country, celebrating British businesses who excel at international trade, innovation or sustainable development. We are proud to be one of 220 organisations to be recognized with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise this year. This is the second Queen’s Award that we have achieved – ADF Milking previously won a Queen’s Award for Innovation in 2013.

We are honored to have been awarded with this royal accolade and look forward to celebrating with a visit to Buckingham Palace later on in the year.
