At the start of milking, prior to full milk let down whilst milk flow rate is relatively low, the teat is exposed to high levels of vacuum in the mouthpiece chamber of the liner. Once the cow reaches peak milk flow, the teat plumps up, filling the barrel of the liner.
ADF InVent individually optimises vacuum levels on each teat to maintain the ideal “sweet spot” throughout milking. This makes milking more comfortable for the cow which stimulates peak milk flow. As milk flow increases, cows milk out more completely.
Faster milk let down naturally means you will enjoy shorter milking times as cows will finish milking more quickly. When milking times become shorter, more cows can be milked in less time – meaning you could expand your herd or reduce labour requirements.
Reducing the time associated with milking also gives cows more time to feed, rest and produce more milk.
