Successful applicants of the Countryside Productivity Small Grants (CPSG) scheme have been given more time to buy equipment to allow for potential delays in equipment supplies caused by the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Rural Payments Agency (RPA) has announced that the Round 3 claim deadline has been extended by two months, and successful applicants now have until midnight on the 31st May 2021 to buy and install all their items, and submit their claim for payment.

Successful applicants need to confirm the items they wish to order are available before accepting their grant. This must be done via the RPA acceptance portal before 18th January 2021.

The extension followed reports that farmers were struggling to secure deliveries of purchased equipment within the original timeframe due to coronavirus disruptions. The 3,800 farms that have already been approved for the CPSG scheme must buy and install the equipment and submit their claim for funding by midnight 31st May 2021.

The NFU welcomed the extension but they urge farmers to continue with the ordering and purchasing process. Claims should be made at the earliest possible point.

Don’t forget that the ADF System is eligible for the grant under category SG13 Cluster Flush of the CPSG application form. You can receive up to £400 per milking point to contribute towards your new ADF System.
