We are pleased to hear that our customers Mark & Jenny Lee from Park House Farm in Cumbria are hosting the next Down to Earth event with the RABDF this week.

The unique Down to Earth North event is specifically tailored for livestock farmers interested in understanding the principles behind regenerative farming. At its core, regenerative agriculture focusses on improving the health of soil or restoring highly degraded soil.

In 2017 the Lee’s began their journey into organic farming on Park House Farm and managing land regeneratively after some of their cows actively sought out an area of a field to graze that had not been sprayed, meaning their dairy farm is the perfect place to hold such an event.

The husband and wife team will be showcasing their organic dairy farm in which they use half their milk to produce their own delicious and award-winning cheese. The Lee’s are also selling liquid milk directly to local cafes and farm shops using an innovative plastic-saving system, Freshkeg.

It is this innovation and originality that they hope will help them to achieve their milk’s true value, proofing their farm for the future.

Down to Earth North provides farmers with the practical advice they need to start applying the basic principles of regenerative agriculture, and offers an arena where the whole industry can come together and address the opportunities, facts, and science surrounding regenerative principles.

Regenerative farming is a topic close to many of our ADF customers’ hearts, and we are delighted to be attending the event. Find out how our market-leading automatic dipping and flushing system can help you achieve your business goals for your dairy farm. We’ll be on stand N50 between the entrance and the main stage. It will be hard to miss us!
